The Spreest GS020 gas detector is an advanced device designed to detect gases such as natural gas (CH4) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the air of homes, offices, and other similar locations. If a gas leak is detected, the device emits a loud alarm , flashes an indicator, and automatically operates a valve or actuator to isolate the source of the gas leak. The device has a lifespan of up to 5 years.
Wireless sensors eliminate the need for running cables to connect to the central unit, making it easy to install this siren anywhere with access to electricity. It works with Spreest alarm systems available in our offer, including the H700, H501 , and other GSM and Wi-Fi alarms operating at a frequency of 433 MHz. To trigger an alarm, the sensor must be paired with the alarm system wirelessly via the 433 MHz frequency.
The sensor is powered by a constant 12V power supply or via the power cable included in the kit.
Key features
1. High Sensitivity : The device is highly sensitive and can respond quickly to low levels of gas concentration, detecting them in the range of 0-100% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit).
2. Compatibility with external devices : The detector can be connected to external devices such as solenoid valves and exhaust fans.
Example: If a gas leak is detected, the detector will automatically turn on the exhaust fan to remove the gas from the room, minimising the risk of an explosion.
3. Cooperation with an alarm system : The detector can be integrated with an alarm system that notifies the user of an alarm.
4. High alarm volume : The detector produces a sound of 80 dB, which is equivalent to the sound of a passing car.
5. Easy to install : The device can be mounted on the wall with screws or double-sided adhesive tape, providing flexible installation.
6. PIN connectors : The detector is equipped with three pins: +12, HAND and VALVE.
• Pin +12 : 12V power supply.
• HAND Pin : Output to a manipulator that can close a gas valve or activate another safety device.
• Pin VALVE : Output to the solenoid valve which enables automatic shut-off of the gas supply in the event of an alarm.

Installation and settings
Location : The detector and the gas stove should be located in the same indoor space. The ideal horizontal distance between the detector and the gas source is 1.5 meters to 4 meters. The vertical distance between the detector and the gas source should be more than 0.5 meters, and the distance from the ceiling should be at least 0.3 meters.
1. Use of screws :
• Secure the mount to the ceiling or wall using the included screws. Place the detector in the mount and turn it clockwise to secure it.
2. Using adhesive tape :
• Peel off one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and stick it to the bottom of the detector, then peel off the other side and stick the detector to a flat surface.
Configuration and use
1. Testing :
Without an alarm, press the button to test the audible signal and indicators for 2 seconds. Hold the button to test the valve/manipulator output, all indicators will flash rapidly.
Test your detector regularly to ensure all functions are working properly.
2. Clearing pairing records :
Turn on the power and briefly press the "Set" button. All LEDs will light up. Continue holding the "Set" button until you hear a beep, indicating that all pairing records have been deleted.
Indicators
• Power : Green indicator indicates that the power is OK.
• Alarm : A flashing red light indicates that a gas leak or high temperature has been detected.
• Fault : A flashing yellow indicator indicates a sensor error.
• Life : A flashing yellow indicator indicates the end of the sensor's life.
Operation of the device
1. Heating :
• After turning on the device, the detector warms up for approximately 180 seconds, signaled by flashing alarm, error and life indicators.
2. Work :
• When there is no alarm and the error and life indicators are not flashing, the green power indicator remains on, indicating that the device is working properly.
3. Gas leak alarm :
• When a gas leak is detected, the detector will emit a loud alarm, the red alarm indicator will flash and the valve/manipulator will be activated to isolate the gas source.
4. Silence :
• In case of an alarm, press the button to mute the alarm sound.
5. Restoration to normal state :
• The alarm will automatically turn off when the air in the room is purified.
Warnings and cautions : Alcohol vapors, similar substances, heavy cigarette smoke, gas from burners, cleaning agents, and other chemicals with strong odors may cause false alarms. This device is intended to reduce risk but does not guarantee complete safety.
