The diagram shows possible installation variants of the access control system with the VF2EM Tuya lock.

The device works with a 12–24V DC power supply, an electromagnetic lock or electric strike, an exit button and external access control systems based on the Wiegand protocol.

Here is a detailed description of the possible connections and their applications:

1. Power supply:

+12V (Red) – positive power supply (12–24V DC) GND (Black) – ground (minus power supply)

Basic power supply for the device. A stable voltage source must be provided. The device can be powered by either a general-purpose power supply or a specialized access control power supply with a 12V/3A output.

2. Magnetic lock / electric strike:

COM (Purple) – common relay contact NC (Orange) – normally closed contact (recommended for Fail-Safe locks) NO (Blue) – normally open contact (recommended for Fail-Secure locks)

They allow direct door control. To select the appropriate relay contact, select the lock:

• Fail-Safe (opening in the absence of power – e.g. magnetic lock) → use NC
• Fail-Secure (opening after applying voltage – e.g. electric strike) → use NO

3. Exit Button:

OPEN (Yellow) – signal input to control the opening of the door from the inside

It allows you to open doors without using an app, card or code – a convenient solution for offices, homes and user zones.

4. Connecting the Wiegand reader (device as a controller):

D0 (Green) – Wiegand 0 data line D1 (White) – Wiegand 1 data line GND (Black) – common ground

Possibility to connect an external card reader, fingerprint reader, or keypad operating in the Wiegand 26-58 bit standard. The device operates as a master controller, receiving data from the additional reader.

5. Wiegand Reader Mode:

In this mode, the VF2EM device acts as a card, fingerprint or PIN reader and transmits data to an external controller.

Connections in reader mode:

• D0 / D1 – Wiegand data lines to the controller
• OPEN (Yellow) – buzzer function (BEEP)
• +12V (Red) – reader power supply
• GND (Black) – ground
