The A228 electronic lock cylinder by Spreest is a smart solution that will allow you to turn an ordinary door into an intelligent access point, where you can grant access to a guest with a single-use code in a second, easily provide the cleaning crew with access "for tomorrow 10-12", and the lock automatically closes after the door is shut – all without having to take keys out of your pocket.
It is ideal for Airbnb rentals, self-check-in hotels, warehouses, or offices, where guests can be sent a code or e-key valid only during specific hours, remotely.
Automatic locking after closing the door eliminates the risk of leaving the door open, and the built-in memory supports 200 cards, 200 fingerprints, and 200 PIN codes – plus unlimited e-keys in the app. No internet? No problem – the handle works locally and stores user data internally.
The outdoor panel is IP54 certified, so there is no problem with installing the handle within the front door frame, exposed to weather conditions.
Batteries last about a year. When the battery starts to run low, the lock will warn you, giving you time to replace it. The handle fits left and right doors 35–55 mm thick – wooden, steel, or aluminum.

Installation
You can install the handle yourself in most apartments and houses; it fits doors 35–55 mm thick, both left and right-handed, made of wood, steel, or aluminum.
In the box, you will find three complete sets of screws and sleeves dedicated to the following ranges:
- 35–45 mm
- 46–55 mm
The lock works with a single mortise lock, which is included in the set.
The graphic shows installation with the lock included in the set, where:
- The hole diameter for installing the lock must be 54 mm.
- The door thickness must be between 35 and 55 mm.
- The included lock is adjustable from 60 to 70 mm deep.
If there are no pre-drilled mounting holes, you will receive a drilling template with the lock.
Low Battery Alarm
The lock is equipped with a low battery alarm, allowing you to continuously monitor the power status. A notification of low battery level will be sent to the application at ≥20%, ≥10%, ≥5%, and a red light (3 flashes) will illuminate on the lock itself after unlocking.
The device is powered by four AA batteries, which can last for 9 to 12 months.

- Does the lock work without an internet gateway? - Yes. Operation is then via Bluetooth – codes can only be assigned when at the door, and the event history synchronizes upon reconnection.
- Can the cylinder be set to the right or left? - Yes, the lock direction is variable and set during installation.
- What if the lock runs out of power? - The lock warns at ~30% battery. After complete discharge, it can be powered by a power bank via the charging port or opened with an emergency key.
- What is the Wi-Fi gateway for? - It allows you to open doors and assign codes remotely. One gateway supports several locks within Bluetooth range.
- Does the app work on all smartphones? - TTLock is available on iOS ≥ 11 and Android ≥ 5.1 (with Bluetooth 4.0 or newer support).
- Can access be limited to specific days or hours? - Yes. In the app, cyclical codes or eKeys can be created with a schedule (e.g., Mon-Fri 8-16).
- Can I export opening logs to a file? - Yes, TTLock allows downloading history in CSV or PDF format from the web panel.
- How many users can I add? - Unlimited. Each can be granted different permissions: owner, admin, reception, service.
- Is the software paid? - No. Firmware is free and updates OTA for free via Bluetooth (or remotely via the gateway).
