High-quality expansion HDMI video capture card allows you to record any signal from an HDMI source (players, console, etc.) to your PC's hard drive at a resolution of up to 1920×1080 @ 60Hz! Quick setup guide:

  1. Connect the device to a USB port on your PC; it will automatically install via driver auto-installation;
  2. Check if the device is visible in Device Manager, under image and sound controllers, named: FHD Capture / FHD Webcamera;
  3. In the control panel, under the sound tab, set "Digital Audio Interface" as default and adjust parameters in the Advanced tab;
  4. Download and install OBS Studio (https://obsproject.com/download), ORIGINAL WINDOWS SYSTEM REQUIRED, the program downloads and installs Microsoft VC software;
  5. Launch OBS, add a source by clicking "+" and selecting Video Capture Device;
  6. In the Device category, select FHD Capture / FHD Webcamera;
  7. Click OK, or configure other categories in this window as desired.

The device appears in Windows as a webcam without needing to install any additional drivers or other software. According to the included brochure, it captures video at the following resolutions: 720×480 (60p), 720×576 (50p), 1280×720 (50p), 1280×720 (60p), 1920×1080 (50i), 1920×1080 (60i), 1920×1080 (24p), 1920×1080 (25p), 1920×1080 (30p), 1920×1080 (50p), 1920×1080 (50p). When I tried connecting it between a desktop computer and a monitor with a resolution of 2560×1440 (WQHD), the maximum resolution available for the monitor was limited to 1920×1080 (as shown in the attached screenshot). I'm also attaching the test result from webcamtests dot com. The device does what it's supposed to, but the “4K” label on the casing is a marketing gimmick.

One star, because even though the grabber works, a blue USB port doesn’t necessarily mean USB 3 (SuperSpeed). It’s a USB 2 (High-Speed) device, so its throughput is 5 Full HD (1920x1080) frames per second in uncompressed mode (YUY2).
