The GSM controller SM4-WLTE-EA 4G by Spreest is a modern device for remote control of gates, heating systems, and other installations.

It provides convenient management from a phone or web browser, using 4G LTE connectivity and SMS notifications about events.

Thanks to 4G network support, the device can operate virtually anywhere – even where there is no internet access. It can be operated via a dedicated application, but its installation is not necessary.

The device, thanks to its temperature and humidity monitoring function, is used in many areas, such as farms, homes and apartments, industry, base stations, and solar installations, offering a reliable and flexible solution for remote control and automation.

The controller has two connectors for connecting sensors (e.g., temperature, humidity), one accessory port for connecting four additional sensors (e.g., reed switch, motion sensor, and others...), and as many as four sets of relays (NO, COM, NC) for controlling devices.

NOTE! To use the temperature and humidity monitoring function, it is necessary to purchase a sensor available in our assortment.

4. Real-time Notifications – Receive alerts about temperature and humidity changes in the monitored area.

5. SMS Notifications – Option to enable feedback on relay action execution.

6. Number List – Ability to save up to 99 numbers authorized to control the device.

7. Compatibility with temperature and humidity sensors – Purchasing a temperature or temperature and humidity sensor allows for automatic response to environmental conditions.

8. Temperature and Humidity Control – It is possible to set up to 8 temperature groups and 4 humidity groups on each of the four relays.

9. Additional Accessory Port – The connector allows for connecting up to four sensors, such as liquid level sensors, soil moisture sensors, or flood sensors. This allows the controller to automatically manage irrigation – e.g., start watering when the soil is dry or stop the system if a fault is detected.

10. Multiple Relay Sets – The controller has as many as four relays with NO, COM, NC contacts.

11. Operation in 4G/2G/GSM networks – Ensures stable communication across a wide range of frequencies and independence from local infrastructure.

Example control scenario in a greenhouse

1. Cold protection mode (night):

  • Circuit activation: The relay turns on the heating mat or heating when the temperature drops to 12°C or lower.
  • Circuit deactivation: The relay turns off the mat when the temperature rises above 16°C.

2. Daytime ventilation mode:

  • Circuit activation: When the temperature exceeds 28°C, the relay activates fans or opens windows after 10 seconds.
  • Circuit deactivation: The relay turns off ventilation when the temperature drops below 24°C.

3. Humidity control mode (anti-mold):

  • Circuit activation: The relay turns on ventilation/dehumidification when humidity exceeds 80%.
  • Circuit deactivation: The relay turns off ventilation/dehumidification when humidity drops below 65%.

4. Mist irrigation mode:

  • Circuit activation: The relay activates the spraying/misting system when humidity drops to 45% or lower.
  • Circuit deactivation: The relay turns off the system when humidity reaches above 60%.

The controller allows climate management in 2 zones (e.g., different plant species – tropical and Mediterranean), by connecting 2 independent temperature and humidity probes.

By also using the additional accessory port, you can connect external devices to the automatic greenhouse, such as alarm systems (in case of unauthorized entries outside working hours) or smoke detectors (reacting to potential fires and smoke).

Ports and relays

1. Sensor1 – On the front panel – Port for connecting a temperature/temperature and humidity sensor.

2. Input – Accessory port – For connecting external sensors, such as liquid level sensors, reed switches, external control buttons, motion sensors, smoke detectors, etc.

3. Sensor2 – Second port for connecting a temperature/temperature and humidity sensor.

4, 5, 6, 7. Relays – Each has contacts:

  • NO – Normally Open contact.
  • COM (COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4) – Communication contact, switching signal/voltage between NO and NC contacts.
  • NC – Normally Closed contact.

Thanks to such a large number of ports and relays, it is possible to operate extensive control systems, e.g., irrigation. The device allows for central management of various processes in one place, which simplifies operation and reduces the need for multiple separate controllers.
