Wiring Diagram – 12V Exit Button
The exit button functions as a NO (normally open) contact and is used for manual release of an electric strike or electromagnetic lock in access control systems.
Connection:
- COM → +12V from power supply
- NO → positive (+) of electric strike
- – of electric strike → ground (GND) of power supply
When the button is pressed, the circuit is closed and 12V is momentarily applied to the electric strike, causing it to unlock.
Note: LED signaling may require correct power polarization (according to markings on terminals). The LED diode does not affect the operation of the NO contact and serves only as an indicator.
Application: Exit doors in homes, offices, businesses, schools, gyms, and other facilities equipped with an access control system.
