This hub won’t power devices such as a Brother scanner via USB-C, probably due to advanced protective electronics that prevent it from reaching 15 W.
+RS232 connector and plenty of other ports.
−Not enough power to run, for example, a USB scanner.

I use it with my work Dell Latitude 5530. I mainly wanted to connect 2 additional monitors via HDMI in Full HD (I can’t comment on 4K). The adapter does the job. Sometimes when I plug it in, it’s as if it isn’t detected, and the image doesn’t appear on the extra monitors. I then have to disconnect the adapter’s power, and at that point the image switches to the monitors. Only then do I plug the power back in. I’ve had a warning appear by the charging icon saying the charging power was too low. That’s never happened when I plug the charger directly into the laptop.
