IP66 Waterproof Rating
The IP66 waterproof casing provides reliable protection against rain, humidity, and dust, making it an excellent choice for mounting on outdoor door frames. Thanks to its solid, metal construction and special seals, the device maintains full functionality regardless of the weather, ensuring security and continuous operation.
Wiring Diagram
The device supports many functions thanks to simple and flexible connection options. Below is a description of each wire, its symbol, and its application – for both standard power supply and specialized power supply (access control power supply).
Lock Wire Descriptions:
Yellow — OPEN — Exit Button Input (REX – Request to Exit) — Allows opening the door from the inside.
Red — 12V — Device Power Supply 9–24V DC (typically 12V DC)
Black — GND — Ground / Earth — Common for power supply and relay.
White — NO — Normally Open Relay Contact — Used, for example, for NO type electric strikes.
Brown — COM — Common Relay Line — Essential when connecting devices to NO or NC
Green — NC — Normally Closed Relay Contact — Used, for example, for NC electromagnetic bolts.
Example Application
The device allows control of various access control elements:
Exit button (REX): When pressed, it opens the door from the inside – convenient in offices, warehouses, etc.
→ Connected to the OPEN (yellow) terminal.
Power Supply: Can be connected to a standard 12V DC power supply or a special access control power supply (DC 12V/3A).
→ 12V (red) and GND (black) terminals.
Electric Strike: The device opens the lock after reading a valid card or fingerprint.
→ Connection via NO (white) and COM (brown).
Electric Bolt: Used for glass or metal doors – operates in closed mode.
→ Connection via NC (green) and COM (brown).
Important
*When connecting to a standard power supply, it is mandatory to install the 1N4004 protection diode (included in the kit).
This protects the device from damage.
*When using a specialized access control power supply, the diode is not necessary, and the connection is made directly to the appropriate terminals of the power supply (NC, NO, COM, PUSH, etc.).
Thanks to this universal diagram, the device can be used in both simple home installations and professional access control systems in companies, warehouses, schools, and other facilities.
