Description of the lock operation

The AD-180A electromagnetic lock consists of an electromagnet installed in the door frame and a metal plate screwed to the door leaf. When the electromagnet coil is energized, the metal plate is attracted with great force, securing the entrance. The maximum door pressure at which the electromagnet attracts the metal plate is 180 kg. Electromagnetic locks such as the AD-180A are typically used where safety regulations require the door to be opened after a power outage in the control system, and in locations where traditional deadbolts cannot be installed.
