Gate runs just as it should
Installed it myself in one afternoon, 5 m gate, about 500 kg. Set everything up from my phone, the travel learning did itself. My wife has access through the app, I use the remote. Runs quietly, the neighbour doesn't even hear me drive in.

Work flawlessly
Bought the photocells for an opener from the same brand, wiring took 5 minutes. The lens adjustment came in handy because the posts aren't exactly opposite each other. The gate reverses when someone stands in the driveway, the kids have already tested it.

Small remote, sits well in the hand, range easily 40 m from the car. Added it in the app without opening the controller, took a minute. The carabiner is a bit thin, but the remote itself is faultless.

What specs should you look at when buying a gate opener?
The basic parameter worth paying attention to when buying a gate opener is the maximum leaf weight the unit can move (e.g. 800 kg), and for double swing gates also the maximum length of a single leaf. It's worth choosing an opener with some headroom, because in winter, with an icy track or stiff hinges, the gate puts up more resistance. The next important parameters are motor power and torque (e.g. 130 W and 21 N·m), which translate into pulling force, and gate travel speed (e.g. 26 cm/s), which determines the opening time. The control method also matters – the number of remotes in the set, the controller's memory capacity (e.g. up to 128 remotes) and the option of app control via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Check too whether the opener has overload protection, a pedestrian mode, automatic closing and a manual release in case of a power cut. The operating temperature range (e.g. -20°C to +55°C) is important as well, along with inputs for accessories: photocells, a flashing lamp, a card reader or an induction loop. Additional advantages of gate openers can include quiet operation (up to 55 dB), automatic travel learning, a gate operating schedule or sharing access with household members from the app.
App-controlled or classic remote-controlled opener – which to choose?
A smart gate opener is above all about easy setup and everyday convenience – you do all the programming, adding remotes and adjusting parameters from your phone, without opening the controller housing. You can open the gate from anywhere over Wi-Fi, and when there's no internet the app automatically switches to Bluetooth within a range of up to 10 m. You share access with household members or guests using a QR code, and the opening history and gate schedule are always at hand.
A classic opener, operated with a remote and the buttons on the control board, is a simpler solution that doesn't depend on a Wi-Fi network or a phone. It works well where the gate simply needs to open and close on a remote signal and extra features aren't needed.
Bear in mind that the smart openers in our range keep full support for radio remotes, so the app is an addition rather than the only way of control.
What accessories do you need to install a sliding gate opener?
The opener itself is the foundation, but a few extra components are needed for the automation to work properly and safely. The most important is the gear rack, mounted along the whole gate leaf – to work with the opener's pinion you need a rack with the same module (e.g. M4). Racks are sold in 1 m sections, so it's easy to match their number to the gate length. The next component is a set of photocells, which stop or reverse the gate when an obstacle appears in the driveway, and a flashing lamp, which warns that the opener is running and can act as an external antenna. It's also worth buying extra remotes for all household members – the opener's controller can store up to 128 remotes. Depending on the installation, a card reader, an induction loop detector or an indoor push button may also come in handy. You'll find all these accessories in this collection.
What features do the gate openers in our range offer, and how do the models differ?
The gate openers in our range are complete automation kits that let you open and close your gate without getting out of the car. Depending on the model, they can offer, among others:
- support for sliding or double swing gates of various weights and leaf lengths,
- control from a mobile app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth,
- automatic travel learning, i.e. self-recording of travel time and selection of speed near the end positions,
- overload protection that stops or reverses the gate when an obstacle is detected,
- a pedestrian mode, i.e. partial opening of the gate,
- automatic closing after a set time (0–99 s),
- a manual key release in case of a power cut,
- inputs for photocells, a flashing lamp, a card reader and an induction loop,
- a gate operating schedule, an event log and access sharing with household members (in smart models).
Differences between models mainly concern the gate type, maximum leaf weight, power and operating speed, and the control method – from classic remote-operated openers to smart solutions configured entirely from your phone. This lets you pick an opener perfectly suited to your gate and expectations.

How does a sliding gate opener work?
A sliding gate opener is a motor with a gearbox, mounted on a foundation next to the gate. On its shaft there is a pinion gear that meshes with a gear rack screwed to the gate leaf. As the pinion turns, it moves the gate along its track, while limit magnets define the fully open and fully closed positions. You operate the opener with a remote, a push button or – in smart models – from an app on your phone.
How does a sliding gate opener differ from a swing gate opener?
A sliding gate opener is a single unit that moves the leaf along the fence. A double swing gate opener consists of two actuators – one for each leaf – and a control unit that synchronises their movement. The choice therefore depends on the gate you have: the opener has to match its design, weight and leaf length.
What are photocells and a flashing lamp for on a gate?
Photocells are an infrared transmitter and receiver that create an invisible beam across the gate opening. When a car, a person or an animal crosses it, the opener stops the leaf or reverses it. A flashing lamp blinks while the opener is running and warns that the gate is opening or closing. Both accessories improve the safety of your household and visitors, and the lamp can additionally serve as an external antenna, improving remote control range.
